DPR constructed a four-story, ground-up, 72,010-sq.-ft. Specialty Medical Office Building with three stories above grade and a basement. Delivery of the project uniquely utilized early procurement of key trades (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, metal studs and drywall) on a design-assist unit price basis. This delivery method facilitated an early BIM coordination process and an ongoing cost control feedback process to ensure informed decisions were made with the project team’s goals in mind for minimized impacts on cost and schedule.
The new state-of-the-art building houses the following departments: Home Infusion Pharmacy, Nuclear Medicine, Pulmonary and Respiratory Therapy, Breast Diagnostic Center, Pain Management, Gastroenterology, Speech Therapy, Lab/Blood Draw, Infectious Disease, Infection Control, Head & Neck and Audiology, Infusion Center and Wound Clinic. The project was OSHPD 1, OSHPD 3 and LADBS jurisdiction.
