DPR has enjoyed a long partnership with Hospital Corporation of America (HCA), beginning in Texas and expanding throughout the Southeast. In 2014 DPR completed its first project for HCA in Southern California, the design-build of an 1,061-stall parking garage and a 60,000-sq.-ft. medical office building for HCA. Both projects used self-perform drywall, and the medical office building project used self-perform concrete. DPR saved the owner time and close to $1 million by suggesting unique applications. One example included the use of a soil stabilization system that enabled each structure to use a different foundation system.
